Head Start of LaPorte County supports school readiness for children ages 3–5 from income-eligible families by providing comprehensive services that strengthen learning, health, and family well-being. Based at Niemann Elementary School in Michigan City and the LaPorte City location at Bethany Church, the program offers no-cost enrollment for eligible families, determined by the Head Start Act and HHS Poverty Guidelines.

Families benefit from center-based early learning along with advocacy and support services, including needs assessments, workshops, training, and goal setting, helping children enter kindergarten ready to learn and grow.
