Program Overview

Employment changes more than a paycheck, it builds confidence, independence, and connection. Employers consistently tell us the same thing: individuals with developmental disabilities are dependable, hardworking, and proud of the job they do. They bring strong attendance, positive attitudes, and a willingness to learn, qualities every workplace values.

Through our Job Placement program, Paladin partners with local businesses to match qualified candidates with meaningful full- and part-time opportunities. Individuals thrive in a variety of roles, including clerical support, mail and copy services, data entry, maintenance, food service, hospitality support, laundry services, and light manufacturing. We work to create strong matches that benefit both the employee and the employer, strengthening teams, improving workplace culture, and expanding opportunity in our community.

Mission Moments

For more than 20 years, one participant has built strong community connections through her job at a local Meijer, where she now works as a greeter three mornings a week.

Her family shared, “She enjoys it because she gets to see so many people, and everywhere we go in the community, people wave and stop to talk to her.” With support from Paladin’s employment services and job coaching, she has continued to grow in her role and succeed at work. She is not only known by coworkers and customers, but genuinely valued as part of the community. Her story shows how meaningful employment can build confidence, independence, and connection.

Years ago, finding the right fit wasn’t easy. Tasks didn’t always match her strengths, and it took time, patience, and determination to find a path that worked for her. But Stacy never gave up. With support and encouragement, she kept building her skills and confidence.

Today, you can find her at work in the community greeting customers, helping coworkers, and doing what she loves. She knows the store, she knows the people, and more importantly, they know her. She brings energy, kindness, and a smile that makes a lasting impression.

For her family, it means peace of mind. For her coworkers and customers, it means connection. And for this individual, it meant independence, purpose, and pride.

Sometimes, the right opportunity doesn’t just create a job, it helps someone truly shine.
